Lesli Thompson, Expansion Manager

Lesli Thompson serves as the Expansion Manager at The SEED Foundation. She is responsible for coordinating and leading start-up and initial year operations for new SEED Schools, as well as managing a portfolio of strategic projects and initiatives to enhance the organization’s mission.

Lesli has vast experience working with SEED and serving students and communities. She began her tenure with SEED at The SEED School of Washington, DC. as a coordinator in the Student Life program. During her time at SEED DC, she took on senior leadership roles. She served as Director of Experiential Learning and External Opportunities, where she managed and led several community and educational partnerships on behalf of the school, and most recently, Director of Social and Emotional Learning.

Lesli earned her Bachelor of Arts from Howard University in Afro-American Studies with minor concentration in Secondary Education. She has participated in several professional development opportunities to further enhance her impact - notably School Turnaround Leaders Institute at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education, and most recently receiving a professional certificate in Education Program Evaluation from Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies.
