Hopi Moodie, chief operating officer
Hopi is the Chief Operating Officer for The SEED Foundation and is responsible for driving the execution and delivery of many of the organization’s core strategic and operational priorities. Hopi loves incubating and harnessing the power of big ideas and creating sustainable action plans to deliver results and build long-term value, no matter how ambitious the target. Her areas of expertise include organization strategic development, growth and change management, operational capacity building, business development, high-level relationship building, and strategic branding and marketing. Hopi has driven organizational growth from start-up to maturity in both the private and non-profit sectors in the US, UK, and Africa. Most recently, she played a central role in building an asset management firm from start-up to $15B in assets under management, culminating in a successful $650M IPO on the London Stock Exchange.
This is Hopi’s second stint at The SEED Foundation, having previously worked with the organization for three years prior to moving to London. Hopi has a master’s degree from the University of Birmingham in the UK and a bachelor’s degree from the University of British Columbia in Canada, and has studied at the University of Nottingham and the University of Cambridge in the UK. She currently lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and two young sons.
