Summer Program
SEED aims to provide enhanced summer enrichment opportunities for the entire student body. Such opportunities encourage and reward academic excellence, and motivate and inspire students throughout the school year. SEED believes it is essential to connect and engage students in summer off-campus opportunities so that they can explore a variety of interests and potential careers throughout middle and high school, as well as develop a portfolio of activities that demonstrates their ambitions and talents as they undergo the college admissions process.
In recent years, students have taken part in creative writing camps at the Putney School for the Arts in Vermont, traveled to Greece through the Niarchos Foundation Greek Classics Program, lived in Mexico and Spain through Experiments in International Living and camped in Wyoming through City Kids Wilderness Project. Whether in the form of travel, internships, summer camps or other opportunities, these learning experiences intensify students’ focus on their post secondary goals and increase the benefits each derives from their time at SEED.
