Arts
Arts education is a crucial component of SEED’s college preparatory curriculum and liberal arts education. As part of the academic curriculum, students participate in electives such as drama and visual arts, while during the student life program they are able to take part in a variety of activities, including dance, choir and step.
SEED partners with community arts organizations to inspire students’ growth in their particular interest areas and expose them to professional artists, musicians and actors. Students may travel off campus to act with other students in community plays through City at Peace or the Wooly Mammoth Theatre Company or attend dance, music or theater performances at the Kennedy Center or the Shakespeare Theatre.
Students and staff also produce and star in an annual school musical, past productions of which include The Wiz, Grease and High School Musical.
